Wanted somewhere nice to go for lunch and popped into The Dores Inn, so glad we did! The views are spectacular, absolutely stunning. And the ducks were very friendly and a cute addition. For lunch, I had the dirty macaroni cheese, wow! The cheese was still bubbling ontop, big pieces of delicious black pudding and served with delicious salad and large tasty chips. My husband had fish and chips and it was massive! The atmosphere was warming, the wood burner fire was roaring and the food was delicious. The staff were so pleasant and friendly too, amazing experience and would 100% recommend. We will also be back, would be great to come in the summer and sit outside with the ducks and the beautiful views.

It was wonderful to find it open this time around (the first time we went was early in the morning so we missed out), Loch Ness beach is one of my favourite spots in Scotland and the Dores Inn happens to be right there! Fantastic food, great ambience, warm for this time of year, the staff is super friendly and approachable, inside it's very cozy, you can have food and or drinks, there's an are for the restaurant and another for the bar... but I can't wait to go back in the summer, sit outside, have a drink and enjoy such a magical place overseeing the Loch Ness beach, listening to water...

5point Review The Beach near this place is beautiful. But cant say same about this place. And I am not giving a detailed 5 point Review (I have already reviewed the beach. So check my Loch Ness Review) I am reviewing this bcoz we were badly handled. The cafe was near closing time n they barely agreed to give us coffee. And after we had coffee we were sitting outdoors and having some cookies with the coffee. The cleaning guy kept bugging us that you are not allowed to eat outside food here. We told him we are outdoors, not inside the cafe and secondly if you are open we dont mind ordering food from you but you turned us away. We were families with kids who were feeling cold but the absolute rude behavior of the staff (for the sake of cookies that our kids were eating) was atrocious. Not acceptable. The stars you got were for location only
